I forgot to mention, i had previously weighed just my trailer and it is 300
lbs. I'm not sure where the extra 200+ pounds came from - I had motor, gas,
etc in the truck, and the boat just had most of the usual stuff (mooring
lines, cushions, portapottie, etc).

I doubt you could get it down to 1500 lbs... plus, the 1780 is just the
weight on the axles - there was at least 100 lbs on the trailer tongue too.
