The two-stroke ban was to go into effect at the end of this summer. That was
the original reason/excuse for our large get together.
The PWC manufacturers have been fighting this tooth and nail and it appears
they may be winning. They are now opting to have a restriction on the
emmisions of all engines starting next year BUT there is no way, at this time,
of measuring the emisssions of any individual engine and there is no agency
that has the power to enforce this regulation. So, now we will have a
restriction with no way to enforce the restriction and no legal punishment for
violators.
