What? No rooster tail behind the rudder :^) ??? I do 9 Knots.... Going out
the inlet with a 4k tide...
I usually take the cdi with jib furled and shove it in the cabin... Sun and UV
will lighten any colored sail after a while... Edges get frayed if you let the
sail flap in the wind too much...
I'm trying to come up with a gin pole sys to make it easier to lift the mask

I have had no problems raising the mask on my P-19 by hand. I leave the
companion way hatch shut with the board in place and stand on the end of the
hatch. My wife handles the CDI, and after I get the mask up I walk forward
and help her insert the pin. This gives me plenty of leverage to raise the
mask.
Has anyone had a UV protection strip added to their Jib? Our Jib (tanbark)
is
starting to fade after only two seasons. I trailer the boat and keep a
cover
on it most of the time. I don’t know if the cost would be worth it,
considering the cost of a new sail.
A couple of weeks ago I had my best sail yet. We had 4 miles "Wing and Wing"
and maintained greater than 6 knots for half a mile, with a Max of 6.3 knots.
This speed was by GPS on a lake with no current. We must have been partially
planing.
