Yes. Several people have done that, as I recall. I suggest checking the
archives. I like the idea, but my tiltup trailer has the opposite problem -
too much tongue weight, so I carry the Seagull on the transom for short
trips or in the lazarette for longer trips. Never had any stability
problems though. The only time I fishtailed a little was going upgrade when
a car came up the slow-truck lane at 80 mph just as I started to move into
the lane.
