Doug--

I know you're getting all kinds of suggestions as to how you should conduct
your capsizing experiment, but I would like to also toss in a request.

It seems as though most turtleings include having loose gear in the cabin.
Since most of us rarely go out with an empty cabin, it would be helpful if you
had some loose stuff in the cabin, perhaps a cooler with a little weight in
it, a porta-potty and/or a mother-in-law. Maybe just a weighted duffle bag
would work so that if it hits the cabin roof it does no damage.

I'm certain that many of us would like to see your experiment in person. I,
for one, am looking forward to the results.

The next experiment might be like the one that's on the old Potter brochure
where they have drilled a hole in the cockpit floor to show the boat is
unsinkable. Be sure your insurance is paid up before you begin that one!

Thanks for your efforts.

Sincerely,

Geoff

Hi Paul:

I take everything you say seriously...:-) If I can arrange it I will try=
to=0Ahave someone take a video from the shore. I hope a "rescue" boat w=
on't be=0Anecessary. If I do get a video your offer of the avi.capture (=
whatever that=0Ais) sounds great. I have no pride, so the thought of tho=
usands of people=0Aseeing me trying to sink a perfectly good boat doesn't=
bother me in the least.=0AI'll be the one wearing the fake nose and mous=
tache . :-{)

Thanks for the offer, I'll let you know how things turn out.

Doug

I mean this seriously: Will you have a chase (rescue) boat involved, and=
do=0Ayou intend to capture the 'experiment' on video? If so, we should =
be able to=0Acapture the moment of truth and create an .AVI file for post=
ing for others to=0Asee. Should be viewed from the rear, to observe the =
angles, etc. I will be=0Aglad to do the .avi capture and posting for you=
.

I still have=0Athis strange desire to put my poor Potter to its limits, s=
