The top of the mast bends over into the water...

I would'nt worry much about it... I do stupid things like falling asleep at
the tiller all the time. The only times I've been knocked down I've been
sailing in 20+ winds and fell asleep. It's not something that would occur to
anyone awake...

Use the topping lift for adjusting trim and or holding the boom not for
reefing the main in high winds... You should have no trouble

Dear SF

"the top of the mast bends over and under"...??? Over and under what? Talk
like that makes me nervous, can you supply any more details?

I will keep my mast head "across and down" until I hear from you.

Thanks
