A quick word of caution regarding the gooseneck fitting on P19s: mine
self-destructed just before the Tahoe sail. The weld holding the mast
slot slider to the remainder of the gooseneck failed totally. In fact,
there didn't seem to be a whole lot of weld surface in the first place;
I'm surprised it lasted the for 11 years! P19 owners may want to inspect
their fitting to prevent having to jury rig far from home.

On the same topic, if your P19 still has pop rivets connecting the
gooseneck
to the boom extrusion, you may want to immediately replace or supplement
these with SS screws. Mine failed 10.5 years ago, early in the boat's
career.
