I keep my boat, a red colored hull DS16, moored all summer. Despite of
all the stains provided in abundance by birds and the arachnid kind, I
am mostly frustrated by the gelcoat color that is mercilessly fading
away.
I have tried many compounds: gelcoat restorers, special waxes, and even
very fine sandpaper. These work only for a while and the tarnishing is
become an ugly sight. Is painting, which I want to avoid, the only
solution?
Any suggestions? Thanks and fair winds!
