Potterers and Potterettes,

I've been a little behind doing my e-mail stuff and just about everything
else. I did just recently receive and read the current Potter Yachter
newsletter. It was great! Larry Costa's article on trimming sails was
fabulous, not only for new sailors, but for those who would like to review the
finer points of sail trim. Certainly got me thinking about how my telltales
are streaming!

Thanks to Dory and Tom Way you all have an idea of what an excellent weekend
our Tahoe sail was. I didn't know about Dory's mortally wounded thumb until
now. Ahhh! The trials of a sailor!

The one story Dory kind of missed was our finding out Sunday morning that the
Walton's, "Babe" had pulled anchor and drifted out into Emerald Bay during the
night. They found themselves about 1/2 mile into Emerald Bay on a moonless
and breezy night at 3 AM. I don't know what would have been scarier, waking
and finding yourself close to a rock island in the middle of the night, or
trying to motor back into the fleet, closely anchored, with no light and
trying not to wake anybody.

When I went back to the office the next day, I tried to tell them I saw a Babe
drifting out in the middle of Emerald Bay in the middle of the night and they
just assumed I'd had one too many! Really! It happened. I did have one too
many, but I know it happened anyway!

Thank you all for joining us for an absolutely stunning weekend!
