Not a direct answer, but...
I leave my Tohatsu 6hp on the motor mount and just tie it down with a
VELCRO (R) strap to keep it from bouncing. No problems yet. The strap
is 12' long and I wrap it tightly around the shaft and mount. (Does that
sound like something Clinton would do?...)
