The directions state that you leave the boom vang on when you install the
boomkicker. So the answer is no. Still I like it because it eliminates the
hassle of the topping lift, and supposedly improves sail shape in light air.
We haven't had any 5 knot days down here in Naples lately. Hurricane Georges
kind of put damper on sailing this past week.
Also does anyone know were you flush out the saltwater on a 5 horsepower
Nissan longshaft. I've been using the large bucket method and starting to get
tired of the funny looks from other boaters at the marina.
