Hi,

I just read this...

and the

the axle

spending at

If I were you, I'd find a trailer shop and ask about the cost of the
_parts_. I
just replaced an axle and hubs (and bearings, etc) on a trailer and the cost
of the whole deal was only about $150 + time & energy. I didn't replace the
springs, but I got a price of about $25 each, and the fender isn't gery
expensive.

Unless the trailer is a real junker, I'd at least cost out the new parts.
You can
also buy trailer parts mail order; I have a catalog at home and can get you
the number. The parts just bolt together like a big erector set (remember
those?)
-- the winch stand bolts on, etc. The winch stand isn't very expensive
either,
especially if your winch is still ok.

Anyway, check out the prices. I'd be surprised if parts cost more than 300
or
so.

You might think of replacing the coupler, too. It's not expensive.

Hope this helps!

Best wishes,

-greg
