Hi, Dick--

I'm certain you'll get a lot of suggestions as to how to solve the leaky
cockpit drain. That is a common complaint. So common, that although I've not
experience it myself, I have taken to putting two plugs in the drain, one from
the outside and one from the inside of the cockpit--just to make sure.

I would like to say one thing, though. You said you are soaking up knowledge.
In another post yesterday a fellow said that in doing his repairs he had,
"Gone a little overboard." These terms, when used on a nautical page are
starting to get a little scary. Perhaps we can think of something a little
less prophetic. Or do you think I'm all wet? :-)

Greetings to all Potters, it's me again...bugging everyone with
questions ;-) Someday, after soaking up this knowledge, I will be able
to share with other novices as you have shared with me. Now to the
question - has anyone out there done any repairs to the cockpit drain
tube? Mine has a leak around the circumference at the hull as well (I
think) as the cockpit. I know that I am getting water into the bilge
from this leak. I wish to repair it properly and would like any
suggestions, experiences or whatever anyone has to offer. I've got some
ideas, but they are all seem kind of amateurish. Thanks to all in
advance and fair winds!
