since most of your use is on weekends, go with a smaller panel and a
larger battery. That way the panel has plenty of time to recharge over
the week, but enough capacity to carry through the weekend. I suggest
a panel in the 30-50 watt range and about a 105 AH battery, and a
SunSaver charge regulator. Prices and spec/size sheets on our panels
are at http://www.windsun.com/PV_Stuff/pv_pricing.htm

>I'm interested in solar panel for recharging sailboat battery in
sunny No. California. bay. Used on weekends only for (1) intermittant
VHF radio use(two power levels: 1 watt and 25 watts), (2) three
running lights (approx 25 watts total),(3) one cabin light. Need
small dimension solar panel because available deck area is limited.
Can you suggest and quote prices for components for a system including
battery? (WE have to buy a new battery ASAP anyhow and are thinking
of a 85-90 AH AGM). thank you.
