Ouch! All true I fear. Just back from the left coast and also owe a
description
of the Tahoe sail. I'm beginning to think I'll have to stop doing it to
take
time to describe it!

I estimated a load (over and above vessel dry weight) of 1500 to 1700
pounds
at our peak. At this displacement she sails OK -- in fact, better than
unloaded --
provided there's at least 8-10 knots of wind. Much more weight,however,
and the
keel trunk lip is under water, complicating the whole issue.
