Greetings all:

James asked me if there was any sailing left here in Thunder Bay.

The answer is yes for adventurous sailors with good foul weather gear.

I put my boat in the garage on October 12, 1998. On October 13 we got
our first snowfall. Fortunately the snow did not last for more than 1/2
day.

Last week there were only four boats left in the water at the Thunder
Bay marina.

The sailing season is over for most of us. Now we take a break and
begin planning for next year.

Next year I think that I am going to haul the boat to Lake Nipissing for a
weeks vacation. Lake Nipissing is a large lake which is approximately
1100 km from Thunder Bay. They have a beautiful marina there which
charges $35 /week for a 19 foot boat.

Linda recently summarized our log book. We had 40 days of sailing
between the end of April and the beginning of October. We slept on the
boat 16 nights.

It was a great season.
