John-

My RX7 GSL-SE is the most powerful of many tow cars I've used for my P14,
although my 67 Saab V4 (1500 cc) did very well also. I'm presently towing
with a Toyota Chinook mini-RV, which can barely get itself up a steep
grade, but it's not any worse with Manatee behind. Other tows have included
an RX2, an RX4, and a Ford Fairmont 2.3. No problem towing with any of
those. According to an old brochure, in England they are towed by Minis
(850 cc).

The Subaru sounds great, and the 4wd will be an sset on those slippery ramps.
