John--

I used to tow my P-15 with a Subaru Legacy (1991). It was a fine car and in
most circumstances made a fine tow vehicle. I did, at one time, encounter a
problem. I had a standard transmission. One time, when our lake was
extremely low, when retrieving the boat, the trailer wheels sank in sand since
the ramp did not extend far enough. The car was almost brand new. When I
tried to pull forward the clutch just slipped. I had to get a tow truck to
get up the ramp. That was an unusual situation as it is not very often you
will have to back past a ramp to load. Going down the highway was fine.
There were times when I'd forget the boat was back there and look in my
rearview mirror and get startled thinking someone was tailgating me! The all
wheel drive is wonderful.

I hope you find this useful.
