Geoff:

Hey! When I lived in LA (Glendale actually), all we ever asked for was a fair
shake... <BG> We had quite a few nices ones... It's like an unannounced roller
coaster ride...

Dogs bark first, then birds take off, then you hear the train coming.... th th
th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th then n n n n n n n n it shakes
so hard you caint move.. while the car alarms are blaring... But it's over
quick... Not like a hurricane... they announce it, announce it, announce it,
announce it, ad infinitum... until you believe them... You kill yourself
boarding up and getting ready then.... it doesn't show up... But for 3 days
the news media drive you f..k..g crazy.... I'd rather be shaken than blown?
No! It don't sound right... I take it back... I'd rather have an earthquake
than a hurricane or tornado any time...

Harry,

I'll tell you what, that 'quake scared the poop out of me! Just a couple of
weeks ago I took a vacation with my family to Nova Scotia and was out in some
ridiculously huge seas and managed to get seasick for a couple of days. When
my house started shaking the night before last, I thought I was going through
it all over again! It's one thing when you're at sea and rockin' and
rollin',
but you certainly don't expect it when you're in bed in a condo with a
concrete foundation!

You guys in the S.F. (that's San Francisco, not Solar Fry -Har!) Bay area
can
have all that shaky earth stuff!
