Harry:

Hope you are removing the covers from those Rubbermaid boxes when
charging the batteries, or else venting the boxes. Would hate to lose
you to a big hydrogen bomb boom.

I use those Rubbermaid and other manufacturers' plastic containers all
over the inside of my P-19 to keep things dry when the rainwater trys to
fill the interior. I plan to move my two group 27 batteries to beneath
the v-berth seat recess. Cable length increase is only about 2'. Has
anyone done this? Also plan to enclose the fuse panel inside the stbd
cabinet with a plastic box and have access to it from the forward
surface of the porta-potti space.

Done that, been there...

Reinforce the hull from the inside under batteries with woven roving and epoxy
resin (2 coats) extending all way to hull sides.
