OK, you guys, I just found out how to make your Potter safer.

According to a West Coast sailing magazine, Latitude 38, in the old days of
sailing there was quite a bit of meaning to tattoos.

A sailor who had traveled 5,000 miles out and back was qualified to have a
swallow tattooed on each side of his chest. If he sailed across the
International Date line, he could add a dragon. A cross tattooed across one's
back often got one out of floggings, while propellers on the buttocks were
supposed to help him keep afloat if the ship went down.

So, my suggestion to Potter sailors is: Have an outboard, preferably a Seagull
and a Honda tattooed to each side of your butt. You will then appease all the
God's of Pottering and will float forever. Even if it doesn't work, you're
bound to amuse the crowd the next time you get the opportunity to go skinny
dipping.

Yes, folks, it is going to be a long winter!
