There are a ton of messages to wade through, so forgive me if you've already
been answered (I know this is delayed.) You're probably right about the
polarity, since I would assume that they would wire the solar panel to be
used in a car. But you know what they say about 'assume'. Why not put a
voltmeter on the panel and check. You can pick up a cheap voltmeter for
less than $10 and it's useful to have in your toolkit anyway.
