When I trailer the Capri, which is not often, I have a real hard time
getting it off and on the trailer. If I pull the extension out to the
last pin hole, only about 2 or 3 inches remain in the sleeve. It should
make it a lot easier to launch if I use that last hole because the
trailer will be a good 2 feet or so deeper into the water, so the boat
will be floating higher above the bunks, instead of still sitting on
them with lots of weight. But I was afraid to use it because it seemed
like not enough of the extension was in the sleeve. Just a couple of
inches gives me the engineering creeps. On the other hand, what is that
last hole for? Let's take a vote. Can I use it? Any engineering and/or
experience insights?
