Rye, et al.

First of all, Rye, it just occurred to me that you may want to consider going
sailing with Solar Fry. I know you recently joined this group, so you may
have not heard the tale of how Solar Fry got his name. I know it was by
getting a little too much sun where most of us are just a little sensitive.
If he got burnt there and named himself Solar Fry, you could do the same thing
and call yourself Rye Toast. I know that's a crumby play on words, but winter
drags on.

On a more serious note, because we are always just sooo serious here, you had
asked if anyone had brought this shear pin breaking problem to the attention
of Tohatsu. It has been several years since I had my Tohatsu, but I had a
very good experience dealing with Tohatsu customer service. They helped me
get my motor tuned for our altitude so that it was running like a watch.
Granted, a Timex, not a Rolex, but it did take a licking and keep on ticking.

For the edification of those who are having Tohatsu problems, the man that I
had dealt with at Tohatsu was Ken. This was four or five years ago that I
spoke with him, so I'm not 100 percent sure he is still there. It was a toll
free number, (800) 444-5240. If Ken is not there, I am sure that someone will
help. They are a very conscientious company to deal with.
