Better check that out. I was told by my insurer (USAA) that my normal
collision insurance only covered damage to the TRAILER not the boat itself.
To get that I needed to get a boat rider. They asked me lots of questions
about how much experience I had (None at the time). Their question was How
big was the largest boat you have used in the past. I told them 17 feet
(didn't tell them it was a canoe).
