I think if you check with your insurance agent that TRAILERS are covered by the
vehicle towing them. The load (your boat) is not covered unless insured. I
would highly recommend a boat policy, primarily to protect you (liability and
property damage). It's not really very expensive for an underpowered boat. You
guys with 225HP outboards may have to pay a little more.

I AM NOT AN INSURANCE AGENT, but I do know a few. (BG) For those eligible,
USAA is great, if not, I suggest you try your local agent and compare to
BOAT/US. Shop around a little.
