Rye,

I know of two quotes [ sources unknown ] that also might apply:

1. Life is like a bowl of cherries....just watch out for the pitts

2. Life is like a bunch of roses...just watch out for the pricks.

But seriously....I feel life goes by too quickly and is seemingly too short
to spend too much time in anger, regrets, revenge, etc.etc.....sort of
gotta go and bend with the flow [ like the bamboo in Taoist philosophy
].

I enjoyed your Siren story and know exactly what you are saying. I even
have a 18 foot pole [ made from a hardwood closet pole...with a small iron
pipe fitting on the end ] and on occasion I kill the engine in the gunkhole
and pole around just like a gondola! I was reading an off beat book on
odd-ball boating ideas...and one was a " brush anchor "....something I
never heard of. Apparently fishermen know about these.....a large
carpenter's clamp on the end of a line....and you clamp on to a bush near
the shore and use it to " anchor " your boat for short stays for fishing,
lunch, brief naps, reading, meditition, day dreaming, just goofing off
avoiding " honey-do " household chores, watching nature, etc. !

Temperature today in Delaware to possibly break records again....70 - 75F
At this rate I'll never get to try out my new boat cover ! boo hoo.
I'll be out on the water...you bet...in my " was- a - sail - boat " and
enjoying the day! Hope you have a good one also!

Bill Delaware.
