I too have been sailing a Soling for almost a Year now. Only mine is only
one meter long. Last year a few of us got into radio controlled sailing, our
house now has a fleet of a HMS 18, a P.14, a Sunflower, a 39inch 12 Meter. 2
Soling one meters and a 32 inch sloop. I often throw a model boat in my van
and stop by the locol lake for some sailing after work. Sometimes we get
several boats out and have a race. these are not toys they look and sail just
like the genuine article. They have both sail and rudder controlls.You can
build these from kits, or you can get them ready to sail. If you are
interested look up Victor Models on the web. They make great Christmas gifts.
