Welcome to the group. I have a 1967 Potter 14, probably very similar to
yours, so tell me about your boat and I'll be glad to try to answer any
questions you have. What is your sail/hull number, and where are you
located?

The original rigging and sailing instructions for the gunter-rigged Potters
are on the WWP web page at
<http://www.lesbois.com/wwpotter/articles/GunterRig.htm>. There are also
some photos of gunter rigs there and also on the Potter Yachters web page
at <http://songbird.com/py>.

The early Potters had a lot of wood in them. You might want to inspect the
bulkhead at the forward end of the centerboard trunk. It tends to rot out
if rainwater accumulates in the boat. It's not hard to replace, however. I
replaced that bulkhead and the forward bunk deck on mine.

Be sure to join the e-mail list if you haven't already.
