Greetings! I'm your neighbor up in Barkhamsted. I have a 20 foot swing
keel Balboa. Always looking to go sailing as crew, flotilla, or captain.
Last fall I trailered my boat to Sandy Hook, NJ and sailed up through NY
harbor to the GW bridge. A three day trip, single handed and lots of
fun. I'd love to go further up the Hudson. I got a chart from West
Marine(I think) Embassy's waterproof Charts. Number 8.1 covers New York
Harbor & Approaches. Folded its 14 by 6 Opens to 14X60. I assume there
are others in the series. I also have a spiral bound book of charts of
the whole sound. I can't put my hands on it at the moment I remember it
as being about 8X10.

I was at Ames dept store, and they had a small Potty-2 1/2 gal- for
under $60.
