compartment into one of the seats but will need to build a plug so the local
'glass' fabricator can lay up the tray. >>

RE: fuel tank

Larry!

hang on!

I lift the lower end of the boarding ladder horizontal, place the gas tank
wedged in against the top half, tie the lower end extreme edge to top of
ladder with 2 strong bungi cords, tie tank to ladder with other pair of
bungi's and it all sits there until I need to get wet. Then I pull bungi's off
(4 of 'em) put tank in cockpit and jump in. However, when waves get around 5'
with a fetch less than 20' it does try to escape by floating away. Water does
seem to make it evil... {:^)

Check it out...

Hope it works for you too.

Btw: Lately, when I jump in water, I've taken to letting gas tank float in
water dangling from fuel line... I am a lil crazy and hate to lift heavy stuff
as it puts me in pain for a while...

Mast. So far the slugs have been more of a pain then a help. They stick in
the slot and fall out of the mast when I lower the sail. As I have a sail
cover (and am part Norwegian) it bugs me to use a sail stop as the sail won't
lay flat on the boom. I can't see where it wouldn't be much of a deal to
close the old gooseneck opening,

RE: mast

Somewhere on the web (sorry I did not save location) I saw a pic of 2 pieces
of metal screwed to each side of the groove so slugs would not fall out. I
believe it was at the Catalina Group web page... I posted their mast raising
systems a while back to Potter web....

In any case check the mast groove... It has a tendency to pinch shut at the
trailering mast support part jamming the sail... Also if you accidentally
ding it, it will also pinch there..

Another solution is to lift the boom above the slug entry slot and let it hang
there with a sail stop under it. That will keep slugs in and sail on top of
boom..
