Geoff:

You're not rid of us yet. We have sailboats, not motorboats. I'm sure there
were sailboats on Tahoe before outboards were invented. The auxiliary
outboard adds convenience and safety but is not essential, especially on
the P15s, which can maneuver in tight places to get back to the ramp. If
the wind fails, those with 4-strokes can tow those with no motors. Some of
us have electric outboards. Some have oars. But doesn't the wind always
blow at Tahoe?

Okay, sometimes it blows too much. Then we'll have to reef or drop sails
and might have to run in a direction we don't want to go, but that's all
part of sailing.
