John:

Depending on what I end up with in regard to a sailboat (we should have
something within the next month; YES!), I'd be interested in this sail.
Keep in mind though that if it is the "destination island sail" bug that
you are looking to quench, it just doesn't happen! Once you do it the
first time, you are hooked. I'd also remind East coasties that we have a
host of islands to use a destination sails in the Chesapeake with two of
the larger islands being inhabited (Tangier and Smith Island). These
would make great sails as well, giving you the island flavor, remoteness,
and open water sailing advanture.

There are at least 2 dozen other islands in the Chesapeake that are
currently uninhabited but once were.. These would make great destination
sails too.

It is not without some melancholy that I announce Watts Island is now part
of the US Wildlife Service, being part and parcel now of the greater
Blackwater Refuge. This is good because it means the island will remain
pristine. This is sad in ways because it means the island can no longer
be visited. I am glad that I had the chance to visit there.
