I bought & installed the Wide 100 this summer... cool little unit, my kids
LOVE to see the fish under & around us as we're sailing along!... and I feel
alot more comfortable knowing what kind of depth/obstructions etc we're
getting into....

The unit indeed has a transom bracket you can use to mount the sensor, but I
chose to just epoxy it to the inside of the hull... this approach is also
described in the instructions with the unit...

...bottom line, the thing works extremely well, and I put no holes in hull or
transom of the boat!.... Hope this helps...
