Not to worry! In 28 years, I've never removed the centerboard from my P14.
It's time that I did, of course, to inspect its condition and the condition
of the pin, but I see no reason to remove it routinely.

It doesn't seem to matter whether or not I ease the CB lanyard so that the
CB rests on a trailer roller when I trailer (instead of being supported by
the lanyard).
