That is a good idea. When moored or anchored you could remove CMP as
compression forces are much smaller, then replace it before sailing. I think
it will still need a crossbeam one way or another. Otherwise, the cabin top
will sag down and you'd be unable to remount the CMP. Will keep thinking about
it.
