I bought a few yards of white bug netting from REI last summer, and tasked
the mate with making bug screens. Over the winter, she's thought up a
design that she plans to try as soon as she can get back aboard and take
measurements.

The basic idea for the companionway is to make a soft frame of heavy cloth
and sew the net to it. Velcro will be used to secure it in place. A solid
piece of cloth will be sewn to the upper part of the frame so that it can
be rolled down to afford privacy while using the head. The whole thing
can be rolled for stowage.

I expect she'll make a mini version for the forward hatch.
