I called International Marine to order some parts a while back and I
asked him about hatch seals. He said they use the neoprene stuff that
West Marine sells. He made a point to say to get the 3/8" stuff.
When I looked in the catalog, though, the biggest they had was 1/4
inch. Sales person didn't know of anything larger. At that time, I
didn't realize West Marine had a "special order department" so I
didn't try it. I went with the 1/4-inch stuff. It's sitting in the
boat, waiting for me to make a lazarette hatch.
Give the special order department a try. I bet they can get the
thicker stuff.
