Tom,
1. My keel lifting cable became unswedged (? the little doohickie holding
the loop at the end of the cable at the keel broke) during transport. The
factory said it was because I left the keel resting on the trailer bunk and
the cable under some tension while trailering.

2. I believe a water proof seal can be made at the keel housing by clamping
the keel in the down position.
