Hi Kerrie,

Nice to meet someone else with an old potter. Mine is also a 1969, hull
number 215. It's is storage while I'm in Japan but I can't wait to get back
to sailing.

If your boat is anything like mine the centerboard trunk is plywood. Have
you had a chance to remove the small board on the top of the trunk and look
at the inside. On mine the wood had swelled and the centerboard would get
pinched and hop off the bolt every time I lowered it into the water. I left
it on the bottom for a while. It made a great mooring. It also caused some
conversation around the dock. The little potter didn't have an anchor
attached to the bow yet didn't seem to be drifting.
