How about a return to common sense sailing topics on here, instead of riding a
topic (like genoa tracks for example) into the ground? A lot of this
correspondance can be handled through private email. A lot of the spontaneous
fun of this list is bleeding away and we stand to lose folks like Kerry and
others when we let the technical dialogue rule the listserv..

If the dialogue can be handled through private email, do it. If the information
has specific value to everyone, post it. If the information has been requested
by an individual, send it to them PRIVATELY...

It hasn't been all that long ago (1994 on) that this list used to be so much
fun, interesting, slightly chaotic, somewhat eccentric, but we always hovered
about the topic of sailing.. I know we probably can't return there now, but
this techno-list is too dry for my tastes..
