I don't know, in over 30 years of rigging/commissioning/ owning
sailboats, I have NEVER seen 1x19 wire rope fail where it bends
around a thimble . . . Ever. I have seen it fail AT the nicro press
swedge, but never at the bend.

methinks we worry too much . . . . . .
