To go aft under cockpit to transom you need to remove cushions. Then wax the
gelcoat on berths so you can slide in and out easy. This also protects
against mildew and removes glass particles that later make you itch. You get
more headroom without cushions. It would have been nice to have a porthole to
cockpit so's we can get some light/ventilation in there.

I've become an expert at crawling back there after having to reinforce transom
and install a boarding ladder from BOW.
