Group,

I would agree with the above suggestion that each should check their own
insurance coverages.

In my case [ having a seperate Pleasure Boat Policy ] I wanted to make sure
as possible that I was covered not only for possible loss of boat, motor
and trailer, for possible damage and/or injury to others while I'm on the
water, but also such possibilities [ for example ] of the trailer with
boat coming loose from my hitch and going head on into a Greyhound busload
of people.

>From my understanding [ probabily not flawless ] of my own policies, some
of the trailer events are covered by my auto insurance [ as long as it is
attached to my car ]...but under homeowners if the roof of my carport falls
on the boat, under my auto policy if somebody steals my van with the
trailer attached, etc.etc.etc. etc,etc.etc.

It [ like all this legal stuff ] depends on things like " what your
definition of " is " is ! ;-D>

Regarding USAA.....They did have my eventless/claimless history of two
years of P -15 without problems but did want to know [ besides dollar
values ] if my new Bay Hen [ 21 feet LOA ] would still be used on rivers
and lakes [ not ocean ]? , horse power of engine? , was there cooking
facilities on board [ fire hazard ? ], max speed ? [ at 6 knots there was
no extra charge ! ;-D> ], did I have a VHF radio on board? , etc.etc.
