Steve-

I hope someone with a boat similar to yours can answer your question. The
centerboard trunk is quite different on my first generation P14. After
removing the wooden cap from the centerboard trunk, and with the board
still in the horizontal position, I was able to remove the board through
the top of the trunk. It might have also been possible to remove through
the bottom with the board angled back to clear the trailer roller and a
cross member.

With your boat in the water and the centerboard down, you may be able to
haul your board up vertically through the open hatch. It's pretty heavy, so
take your time and don't strain anything.
