This is bringing up a very good question: Should the
centerboard be left down at a mooring?

I had mine jump out twice:
once on a sandbar once because I forgot to lift it before
putting the boat back on the trailer. Both times I used the
boom as a lever to raise the CB and put it back on the
pivot. I think the easiest way to take the centerboard out
is in the water, just make sure you have a good hold on the
line or shallow water
