Greetings, all:
When I bought a new mainsail for another boat, North San Diego loft attached
the telltales to the main at the spots where the end of the battens fell.
Convenience or theoretically sound procedure, I don't know which, but it
seemed to work OK. Having telltales on the main will really underscore the
"when in doubt let it out" rule.
