Interesting study, Eric.
I plan to take my new-to-me P15 out for the first time ever this Sunday, and
I'll keep similar notes and then post them. I can see that I'll have an
advantage right off just because all boat ramps are free in Ohio and because I
won't need any charts at the tiny lake I'm going to. Still, it seems like
there might be a _huge_ time difference between getting a P15 ready versus
getting a P19 ready. When I bought my boat, the previous owner rolled it out
of his garage and walked me through every step of set up. It was cold out,
about 15 degrees, so we weren't dawdling, but the whole thing, including
finally negotiating the deal, exchanging paperwork, testing the engine,
de-rigging, and stowing everything for the five-hundred mile drive home, saying
good luck and goodbye, etc --the whole thing took about one-half hour. Now, I
wonder how much of all that I'll remember this Sunday...
As a Java-junkie, I appreciate your helpful tip on coffee!
