The attraction this time is the Tall Ships at Redwood City - The
Hawaiian Cheiftain and the Lady Washington will be staging "mock battle"
in the South SF Bay tomorrow afternoon. They leave the dock at 2:00 PM
and return at 5:00 pm. The suggested plan for the Potters is to leave
Redwood City at 1:00 PM so as to be able to be out in the Bay when the
ships emerge from the channel.
The tall ships will be offering dock-side tours from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
if anyone would like to check the ships out beforehand.
The ships are docked at the Redwood City Marina off of Seaport Blvd. The
ramp is also off Seaport Blvd but opposite the Marina on Chesapeake Dr.
Look for the little "boat ramp" picture/sign.
The weather should be okay and currents in the channel will be favorable
with low tide being at about 4:00 PM
