My plan was to use the biggest anchor I then owned (the 7# Danforth Hi
T) in (chained) tandem with an 8# grapnel on one rode and a 4#
Danforth knock-off in similar tandem on a second rode. Never did have
to implement the plan, but the two Danforths did hold well in about 50
knots in a couple of truly terrible squalls -- when the big cats that
shared my shallow water anchorage did some dragging.

In the past, the 7 pounder has held (in sand) whenever it was called
upon to do so. Nonetheless, I've now added a 16.5# Bruce on a bow
roller and with 100' of chain, primarily for its ease of setting. If
that and the Danforth don't do the job, shame on me and them!
